2 weeks of FUN at Lake Macquarie Square, see below for what’s in store.
In these interactive workshops, kids will be creating something different each day. Craft supplies will be provided along with hands-on guidance, come and enjoy the fun! Find this activity inside the centre near Coles. Workshops will be running from 10am-1pm.
Springtime Fun
Mon 28th September – Fri 2 October
Day 1 & 2 – “Bugalugs” Plaster & Paint Workshop Monday & Tuesday 11am – 12pm
Get creative with Wix Hunter (located next to The Reject Shop) as you get your hands messy on a spring theme plaster workshop hosted by Crafty Neighbours. Bookings Essential 0431 672 944.
Day 3 – Springtime Bag Tag Painting (Centre Court) 10am – 1pm
Get creative and have some fun painting flowers of spring on your very own bag tag, then make it truly unique with your name professionally hand-calligraphed by Graphic Merchant. A fun keepsake for all ages!
Day 4 – Plant a Seed (Centre Court) 10am – 1pm
Kids can embrace the magic of spring by planting their very own seed to take home and nurture. it’s a fun, hands-on activity that encourages little gardeners to learn, grow and connect with nature. Watch their excitement blossom as they care for their plant and see if flourish long after the school holidays are over.
Day 5 – Creative Rock Art (Centre Court) 10am – 1pm
Let imaginations run wild at our colourful Rock Painting Workshop! Kids can transform ordinary rocks into bright and creative works of art using their favourite colours, patterns and designs.
Dino Discovery Craft – Centre Court
Mon 5th – Fri 9th – 10am – 1pm
Day 1 – Mix-a-Roar Dinosaur Playdough Lab
Children will create their own dinosaur-themed playdough before using dinosaur cutters, stamps and fossils to build their very own prehistoric world.
Day 2 – Build & Paint Your Own Dinosaur Puzzle
Assemble your very own wooden dinosaur puzzle before bringing it to life with colourful paints, markers and creative designs. Each child will take home their own unique prehistoric masterpiece.
Day 3 – Crack, Dig & Discover: Dino Egg Rescue
Become a junior palaeontologist as children carefully excavate their very own dinosaur fossil egg to uncover the hidden dinosaur surprise inside.
Day 4 – Dino Rescue Fossil Plaster Painting
Choose a dinosaur plaster figure to paint and decorate using vibrant colours and creative techniques, creating a prehistoric keepsake to take home.
Day 5 – Build-a-Dino Discovery Workshop
Children will sculpt and build their very own dinosaur using air-dry clay, adding textures and details to bring their prehistoric creature to life before taking it home to dry.
No bookings required for the workshops, bar “Bugalugs”, suitable for children aged 3+
All children need to be accompanied by an adult. Craft supplies are provided, along with hands on guidance.
